As the front bunker is large enough to get machinery in we dug the trenches out with the excavator to save time and effort, ensuring constant fall in to the main trench. The pipe was then installed and back filled with pea gravel and topped off with sharp sand. This bunker will be topped up with sand in the near future. Now work has been carried out in front of the 13th and 17th, these holes will be back in play for the weekend.

Work continues at 13th
After yesterdays disastrous events with the trench on 13th we concentrated our efforts on draining the front bunker on 13th using the pipe work we installed. We connected the drain in to this then let the water out of the bunker which assured us that what we had installed works well.
