Will finished strimming the lane, we cut all the greens, and sprayed them with a preventative fungicide as there is some disease showing on the greens that we cored and top dressed last. This is probably due to the sand we applied to fill the holes in smothering the surface, sparking disease in these mild conditions. We also starting solid tining 19-27 greens with 13mm tines to a depth of 250mm. The conditions are set to become a little wetter over the weekend so we will continue with drainage and leaf collection next week.
Providing a centre of information regarding the maintenance of the golf course
Friday 16 November 2012
The end of another busy week for the green staff, helped by the dry weather. We have managed to tidy the majority of fallen leaves across the course, there are a lot still to fall, however we are getting 'on top' of them. A lot of bare trees are starting to show across the course which for the green staff and golfers is good news. We have also cut all the fairways, at the winter height of 15mm, there is not a lot of growth but it certainly tidies them up.
